Skyworth Attained Three Awards

 (Hong Kong, 14 March 2006) ------- Skyworth Digital Holdings Limited (“Skyworth”, and collectively with its subsidiaries, the “Group”)(HKEX stock code: 0751) today announced that the Group has obtained three awards in The 1st China Consumer Electronics Forum* (首屆中國消費電子年會). Skyworth flat panel TV was awarded “2006 Most Competitive Brand”* (「2006平板電視最具競爭力品牌」) and “2006 Best Buy Product”* (「2006平板電視最值得購買産品獎」) while Skyworth mobile phone won “Highest Potential Brand”* (「最具成長性品牌」). Skyworth was one of the enterprises getting most number of awards.

Mr. Wang Dianfu, Executive Chairman of Skyworth said, “The achievement of being granted three awards was attributable to the continuous support from our staff and the recognition by the public and consumers. According to the survey conducted by GfK Asia Pte Ltd., Skyworth has maintained No. 1 position in 100 major cities in China with the highest revenue market share of 11.8% in October 2005. We strongly believe that Skyworth’s products are welcomed by consumers due to the reasonable pricing, attractive industrial design and advanced functionality as well as articulated branding. With our continuous effort in research and development, together with the recognition from the industry, we are positive in the sales performance of Skyworth flat panel TV in 2006.”

The 1st China Consumer Electronics Forum was highly representative of the industry. Over 400 senior management and government executives attended the event, including department heads of Ministry of Information Industry, National Development and Reform Commission, State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. Industry giants such as Skyworth, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, TCL, Motorola, Lenovo and Gome also participated in the forum.

The development and impact of China’s consumer electronics industry has been playing an indispensable role in the global market. In particular, China has become the largest production and sales base for many products. The total of consumer electronics market in the PRC reached approximately US$50 billion in 2004 and is expected to surge to US$100 billion in 2008. 2006 is a milestone in Chinese consumer electronics industry. While the market capacity is increasing with consumers’ diversified needs, more vertical and horizontal integration in the more competitive market is taking place. Hence, how to secure the market trend in 2006 and every enterprise’s respective development have become hot topics of the industry. As a result, organizations including China Electronics News, which is under Ministry of Information Industry, held this competition in six categories, namely flat panel TV, mobile phone, PDA, digital products, IC applications, and software.
